General Terms and Conditions

 

1. Check-In and Check-Out Time

 

Standard Check-In Time: 1400hrs-1600hrs     Check Out Time: 1000-1200hrs

 

a. This is a privately owned house and does not have any reception. Please inform Happy Homestay Malaysia in advance to confirm on arrival time. Contact details can be found in our homepage, www.happyhomestaymy.com or in the confirmation email.

 

b. Our staff will wait for you at the vacation house at the agreed time, will explain to you the functioning of all the equipment, and give you the keys.

 

c. Early check-In or Late Check-out is subjected to bed/room availability on the relevant day, to be reconfirmed with Happy Homestay Malaysia staff.

 

d. We will collect a security deposit of 1 day’s room rate upon check in. This is fully refundable during check out if there are no damages, lost or massive dirt.

 

e. This house is suitable for weddings or any other functions at additional charge of RM 98 (to be collected upon check in).

 

f. A levy is chargeable for early check-in from 0800 to 1400 hours and late check-out from 1400 to 1800 hours at RM25/hour.

 

g. A full room rate will be chargeable for check in 0700 hours or check out after 1800 hours.

 

h. Room not occupied by 1600 hours will be seen as No Show, unless prior arrangement has been made.

 

i. RM18 will be charged on each extra single mattress.

 

j. Only 1 pillow is provided to each guest, additional pillow will be charged RM5 / pillow.

 

2. Deposit Policy:

 

a. We require a booking deposit amounting to 50% from total rental to hold your reservation. We shall collect the balance of total rental upon check-in and by cash only together with the security deposit of 1 day’s room rate (cash only).

 

b. Reservation is allowed to modify before 48 hours prior to the arrival date with no cancellation fees incurred but subject to room availability. Should you wish to make full payment in advance, please contact Happy Homestay Malaysia to discuss your details.

 

3. Rescheduling/Cancellation/No Show Policy:

a. Once a reservation is confirmed, booking deposit is non-refundable for cancellation. For rescheduling request, please notify us by phone or email of any rescheduling of the booking at least 2 days (48 hours) before arrival date.

 

4. Rules for clients

a. In the event of any infringement of the aforementioned obligations, Happy Homestay Malaysia at its sole discretion will be entitled to request the client to leave the house, and the client shall have no right to claim any type of compensation

 

b. The vacation house can only be used for temporary and tourist household needs. It is furthermore not allowed to sublet the house, or parts of it, to third parties.

 

c. The said premises or any part thereof shall not be used for any purposes other than as residential accommodation. Immoral or commercial activity is strictly forbidden.

 

d. No smoking, pets, durians, explosive materials are allowed. Violation of this rule is subjected to a penalty of RM 100.

 

e. Loss of Room Key is subject to a penalty of RM 50.

 

f. Loss of Main Gate Remote Control is subject to a penalty of RM100.

 

g. Guests are advised to switch off all lights and air-conditioner when leaving the room. Violation of this rule is subjected to a penalty of RM 100.

 

5. Cleaning Policy

 

a. On arrival you will find your property clean and tidy, if you would like additional cleaning during your stay, we offer our cleaning services for an additional cost of RM68 each time.

 

6. Photo Identity:

All Guests are requested to produce the identity card /Valid Passport/ Visa upon check-in.

 

7. Right of Refusal

a. Happy Homestay reserves the right to refuse a guest entry and accommodation if, on arrival, management reasonably considers that the guest is under the influence of drink or drugs, is unsuitably dressed or is behaving in a threatening, abusive or otherwise unacceptable manner.

 

9. Disturbance

a. Happy Homestay Malaysia reserves the right to require a guest to leave if he/she is causing a disturbance, annoying other guests or our staff or is behaving in an unacceptable manner.

 

10. Valuables

a. There is no central safe box provided by Happy Homestay Malaysia. Guests with valuables should take care their property well in the guest room. Happy Homestay however cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to property belonging to their guests which left in unattended. Happy Homestay in particular accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to any valuables, (including valuables left in unattended vehicles).

 

 

11. Losses, Liabilities etc.

a. Property that is left behind in the guest rooms will be kept for 3 weeks. All unassigned property will be forwarded to a charity or disposed of depending value. If we send articles back to the customer, we will charge a postage and packaging fee.

 

b. Happy Homestay Malaysia shall not be liable to a guest for any loss or damage to property caused by the misconduct or Negligence of a guest or an Act of God, or here the guest remains in exclusive charge of the property concerned.

 

c. Happy Homestay Malaysia’s liability for any other loss of or damage to a guest’s property is limited to RM50 for any one article or RM100 in aggregate, or where, stolen, lost or damaged through the default, neglect or wilful act of Happy Homestay Malaysia.

 

d. Happy Homestay Malaysia shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing any of its obligations under this Agreement if the failure or delay was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control, including (without limitation) war or threat of war, civil or political action or disturbance, riot, natural disaster, fire, epidemic, bad weather, terrorist activity (threatened or actual), military activity, governmental or regulatory action, industrial dispute, act of God, failure of power or machinery, failure of or interruption in externally provided services and utilities, and all similar events outside Happy Homestay Malaysia’s control.

 

e. Whilst all reasonable efforts have been taken by Happy Homestay Malaysia to ensure that Bookings made under this Agreement are able to proceed, Happy Homestay Malaysia reserves the right to relocate any Bookings to another hotel of similar size and standard in the locality. The Client acknowledges that Happy Homestay Malaysia accepts no liability for any loss or damage suffered by or caused to the Client in consequence of the relocation of the Client.

 

f. Happy Homestay Malaysia is not liable for any loss or damage caused to a guest’s vehicle, unless caused by Happy Homestay Malaysia’s wilful misconduct.

 

g. Happy Homestay Malaysia does not accept liability for any accident, injury or misadventure. Guests are responsible for making their own insurance arrangements in respect of any injuries suffered by them, or caused by them to any third party.

 

h. Our guests are responsible for making dependents aware of the terms and conditions as well.
